Judging from the virulence of your attack on me I would guess you were embarrassed.

Praising my virility will earn you a pass on the malicious use of quotation marks in your first comment. As for embarrassment, that is something us “journalists” cannot succumb to too easily if we want to earn a crust from online media. There are time pressures with tech stuff which forces pretty much everyone to cut corners some of the time; even the guys working sites that have a bunch of writers vetting every story.

For the record, I was not attacking your prose, I was just a little put out by the snark. Your writing ability seems to actually be pretty good, you can express an opinion and you have a good conversational style. You should try doing an op-ed piece sometime.

Richard, “thank you” for that correction and I must say that I am “truly” impressed by your “mastery” of the lowest form of wit. And I must say that it was mightily thoughtful of you to indicate your sarcasm with quotation marks, I doubt anyone would have been clever enough to recognize it without them. Incidentally, I would “love” to see some of the “writing” that you have produced some time, oh ye who has never been duped, as I am sure that it would leave me thoroughly “enlightened”.
