The MV CoilMaster Mark1 coil gun is the work of Daniel Eindhoven. It sends 42 gram metal projectiles at speeds of up to 110 km/h with 18J of kinetic energy. The build cost a total of 100 Euro, weighs 5 kilograms and took 40 hours to put together. I absolutely must see a video of this in action.
