PD-100 Black Hornet nanocopter: This Tiny Chopper Ain’t a Toy

hornetrccopter-thumb-550x366-17562
The PD-100 Black Hornet nanocopter might look like one of the little RC helicopters that you can find in just about any better toy shop or computer store, but this has military applications written all over it. It features a tiny video camera, weighs in at half an ounce (thanks largely to a half-gram servo), and can push out a top speed of 20 mph.

Prox Dynamics have indicated that the Black Hornet will come in packs of three with a charger, and an RC unit with an LCD screen. The tiny chopper will come in both civilian and military but will only be available to government agencies.
