Three-in-one Netbook Dock Makes Netbooks A Little More CapableStumble This

I am not sure if I want to head down the netbook road mainly because the size of the screen would make the kind of work that I do very difficult, but the lack of disk space and lack of an optical drive also factor into the decision, which makes this 10-inch 3-in-1 dock from Century somewhat tantalizing.

While it is considered a 3-in-1 dock, it is two of the features that make this product interesting: the optical drive, and the SATA HDD connector. Century also pack in a fan, which as useful as may be, is not all that exciting. The only real downside is that it seems to be XP only, which is not surprising since Linux netbooks are next to impossible to come by in Japan.

The Century 3-in-1 USB Netbook Dock is Japan only for now, but I am sure they will be stateside before too long.

Price: $100 (presumably without the HDD) [Century via Akihabara News, Everything USB, Technabob]
