Here is something that looks like a very cool, yet not excessively complicated DIY project, a high definition projector. While I am not sure how much it would cost to get the kit to the States (it comes from Germany), chances are that people would still save a significant amount of money, if they are prepared to take the risk and invest the time. Plus, you get that awesome sense of satisfaction that only comes with building something yourself.

According to builder Maxi Huber:
