There are plenty of clocks that are simply designed to be annoying because it takes ridiculous measures to drag some people out of bed in the morning. Suffice it to say that I think that the fire bell alarm clock is up there with the best of them.

If you need one of these to wake up, I suspect you are not getting enough sleep.
I am mildly amused that someone is making an alarm clock (generally NOT a life saving device) in the fashion of a Fire Alarm and a real Fire Extinguisher (http://www.uberreview.com/2009/06/french-company-pimps-some-fire-extinguisher.htm) nice enough to hang in the Guggenheim yet looks little like the life saving device it is.
