Lego Cookie Cutter Looks Sensational, Finished Product Questionable

lego-cookie-cutter
The thought of having Lego brick cookies appeals to me, but when it comes down to the nuts and bolts mechanics of it, it is pretty difficult to make happen. Unless the dough turns out just write, it is likely that it will stick to the cutter, or the results will be less than stellar, as the review below details.

I am so disappointed. We bought the cookie cutter for school bday party and the cake mold for family party. The cookie cutter is cracked on one brick. Used it anyway. The dough sticks to the cutter and is nearly impossible to get it off without ruining the shape. Tried freezing the dough to make it harder. Cuts better but… My son cried after they baked. They look like plain old cookies. The lego shape completely disappears.

It is something that I would like to think would work, but I get the feeling that this is just one of those things where what could be is infinitely more interesting than what is.

Dough should turn out just right, not just write ;)

But yeah… sounds interesting in theory, but I doubt they look very lego-y when baked.
