This steel version of Velcro is called Metaklett and it does some amazing stuff. Joining the “springy brush” strips with the “jagged spike” strips will allow you to support up to 35 tons at temperatures of up to 1472 degrees; great if you need to patch up a space shuttle for re-entry or hold a crane truck over a vat of molten steel.
