
There is no denying that the Long Drop looks cool, but what does it do? It might look like some sort of Hot Wheels track on steroids (and I suspect it might actually function as one), but it is actually a table.
Designers Tim Simpson and Sarah van Gameron built the Long Drop, first they built a spiral chute to act as a mold, and then they poured colored concrete down it; after that, the chute was removed and the “table” remained.
