Kohjinsha has gone out on a limb with their dual screen DZ. What they have done is souped up an Athlon AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 1.6 GHz powered netbook with a discreet graphics processor and given it a second 10.1-inch screen. It also features an integrated TV card, a gesture-sensitive touchpad and a fingerprint scanner, but who cares?
Are the specifications of a dual-screen netbook really relevant? I mean, two screens are nice and everything but laptops (and especially netbooks) should be about energy efficiency and portability – this sacrifices both. There is no niche market for dual screen netbooks.
Price: about $920 [Gizmag]
