Fingerprint Briefcase Looks Badass, Might Not Be The Best Idea

While a biometric lock on a briefcase might sound like a good idea, I am pretty sure that cold, hard reality would spoil the party of this little number. The case, which is covered with Nubuck leather and lined in suede supports up to 12 users and 2 administrators and can store 2 fingerprints per user. So far so good, right?

Now, because it needs to store all that biometric data, it needs battery power – the on-board lithium battery is said to be good for about 600 scans. What happens when 601 happens to be at a fancy-pants board meeting and you forget to bring along your USB backup battery? I have enough trouble keeping my phone charged up, a battery powered briefcase is not something that I need.

Price: $390 [Oh Gizmo!]
