Flickr user Alex Schranz set himself a difficult task when he decided to build a metallic silver B-17 out of Lego. What makes Schranz’s build special is not what he constructed (we have seen plenty of complicated Lego builds before, some more complicated than this) but what he constructed it from – Lego does not make many metallic silver parts.

In total, there are 110 different metallic silver Lego pieces, of which about 30 are actual building pieces (not wheels, armor or other accessories). Given the limitations, I’d say that he succeeded admirably, what do you think?
