Brakeless Alpine Coaster Descent Looks a Fun Way to Die [video]


David Ellis took to an alpine coaster in Mieders, Austria and rode it all the way to the bottom without hitting the brakes (in spite of a bunch of signs telling him to do precisely the opposite). If you think it looks pretty tame, skip through until around 2:30 – from there things start to look pretty dicey. Still, he makes it, and we can presume that the Austrian engineers who built the thing tested it beyond the limits of human stupidity… so he was probably never in any real danger.
