If you want to add a new dimension of involvement to your Angry Birds experience, a USB slingshot is a good way to do it. You can’t buy this USB slingshot, but you can make it – Mbed, a company that sells microcontrollers and supporting software can show you how to do it.
The way the controller works is reasonably simple: a stretch sensor translates the drawing of the slingshot to a mouse movement and an accelerometer determines the angle. If you are interested in making one of these, head over to Mbed for more information.
