Mexican internet provider Terra is serious about two things: Promoting their Wi-Fi service, and teaching pet owners to clean up after their dogs. I almost can’t think of a pairing more random, but I’ve got a really vivid imagination and the sense of humor of a 10 year old so I’m kind of an exception. The idea is the brainchild of ad agency DDB, who I think I need to find a reason to hire. Not because this idea is brilliant, but because it’s one of the more ridiculous things I’ve ever heard of. What I’m really wondering is how the machine knows that what your depositing is in fact dog poop? Like what are the chances that there’s some really advanced shadoobie censor inside that plastic box? Why couldn’t you just drop in some jelly beans, or mothballs, or Android phones? Hell, I don’t know, and frankly if I spoke Spanish learning the intricate details of this promotion wouldn’t be the only advantage I’d have over other college-educated Americans. Anyway, watch the video and let us know if there’s anything groundbreaking revealed.
