Making Star Wars Space Craft Out of 1.44″ Floppies

Ah the good ol’ days when our data was stored magnetically in hard, square pieces of plastic 1.44 megabytes at a time. I always used to skimp and by the 720s, then drill a hole through the unpunched side and format them as 1.44s – worked every time.

Anyway, if you have a few old floppies lying around gathering dust then you could try your hand at turning them into some of the more popular vehicles from Star Wars. Instructables user Jetpack5 has created instructions for building a Death Star, an X-wing and a Millenium Falcon. No TIE fighter as of yet, but who knows what the future holds?
