This could, quite possibly, be the first Star Wars Zombie (or is it Zombie Star Wars?) themed wedding we have ever seen.
You know how it goes, you have a bride and a groom, they both have different interests and they both want to include them in their wedding. So you have the groomsmen and best man in Star Wars garb and the bride’s crew dressed as zombies – I don’t really see the overlap but it is someone’s wedding so I won’t be mean.
Anyway, things progress until the “lighting” of the unity candle, where the loving couple try to cut into a latex zombie head with a machete… and fail dismally. Said head falls on the floor, gets stomped on by the groom and then the bride kicks it into the audience… narrowly missing someone’s mom’s face.
For future reference, in case either of them get married again and want a rerun, here is how they could improve: if you are doing a double-themed anything, you need to mix elements of one theme into the other. If you want to do Zombies and Star Wars, incorporate some zombie elements into the Star Wars characters: zombie Leia, zombie stormtroopers… that kind of thing – and don’t cut the unity zombie head with a machete – make a zombie head piñata and smash it with a lightsaber.
