Anyone who has ever lived in a tropical or sub-tropical region has probably had the pleasure of eating a decent banana. It is pretty hard to get anything other than the bland Cavendish variety anywhere else, but if the people behind the Urbanana concept have their way, that may change.

Urbanana is a highly-automated vertical greenhouse that has been specifically designed for Paris. The greenhouse has a controlled climate and uses artificial lighting to maintain perfect banana growing conditions all year round.
