One2Touch NFC Keyboard Aims to Put Auto-Correct Fail Websites Out of Business

Strip down your favorite smartphone and what do you have- A phone with email. But what good is the ability to reply to important emails if you have to be in constant fear of auto-type failing you miserably and causing more harm than good? And sure, you may be a wiz on the touchscreen keyboard, but inevitably you will misspell something so why take the chance? So now Elecom has a solution: the One2Touch NFC Portable Keyboard. Armed with an internal battery that lasts up to 18 months, the One2Touch works with the Android Near Field Communication IP-1 protocol, allowing you to simply place your phone right on top of the keyboard and start typing. This is set to retail for $240, the price of a smartphone, and is only available in Japan as of now. Cool idea in theory, but other than the exorbitant price, it basically erases the whole purpose of having mail on a device that you can put right in your pocket. The good news is that they’ve invented something just like this called a “laptop.”
