Bose Outs a Delectable New AirPlay Speaker and Updates the SoundLink [SoundLink Air]

If you are looking for a shiny new AirPlay-enabled wireless speaker to go with the shiny new iPhone 5 that you haven’t gotten yet then you might want to take a look at the Bose SoundLink Air (pictured above). It works its wireless streaming juju with iOS devices, but still plays nicely with your other toys via its Aux In port.

Personally, I would probably be more inclined to save $50 and grab the next generation SoundLink Bluetooth mobile speaker (pictured below), which wirelessly streams from any Bluetooth-compatible device, while avoiding those nasty Apple licensing fees. That being said, however, it is nice how AirPlay “just works” – so if you want to save yourself the hassle of Bluetooth device pairing then it could be worth spending the extra $50.
