Lego Great Ball Contraption is the Best Sort of Ridiculous [Video]


I don’t know what it is about the Great Ball Contraption that makes me like it so much, essentially it is just a ridiculously complicated way to move little balls around a 31-meter track. Aside from that it does nothing and took over 600 hours to make – that amounts to over three weeks of solid building, factor sleep and other distractions into the project and I am guessing that it took quite a long time.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that unless akiyuky (the builder responsible) is a professional Lego builder then he probably has a little too much free time on his hands – but when it comes down to it, one person’s waste of time is another person’s art… so who am I to judge?
