Limited Edition Seiko Star Wars Watches Will Hurt Your Wallet

If the $20 Lego Star Wars watches no longer cut it for you then you might want to check out these fancy limited edition numbers from Seiko. The Japanese watchmaker has covered both of the Droids, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Yoda and a Storm Trooper – and the results are nothing short of spectacular. Unfortunately, the price is nothing short of astronomical, they cost $1800 around $1300 a piece – but who knows, some of them could end up on sale. The C3PO model looks great and everything, but he rubs a lot of people the wrong way and Darth Maul was a cool idea for a character and everything but it is probably going to be hard to find a lot of hardcore fans ready to drop a couple of house payments in order to celebrate his five minutes of screen time.

Update: Amazon Japan cut all of the prices to a more reasonable, but still expensive, $1300 (some of them are a little cheaper than others). Such a substantial discount while the watches are still in pre-order would tend to suggest that bigger, better discounts are on the way.
