Animatronic Lamp is the Cutest Robot You Will See All Day

With six servos, a webcam and some custom Arduino software, Adam Ben-Drur managed to turn what looks to be a normal desk lamp into a fairly accurate representation of the Pixar lamp.

While the base is stationary, the rest of the lamp moves around, responds to sound and interacts with its human companion… and it doesn’t like to be turned off. It is so awesome that we are prepared to look past the fact that, as a lamp, it is a total failure (it doesn’t actually emit light).
