Bring Back the Mixtape With Sharetapes

Those of us that grew up in a simpler time remember when passing a physical mixtape to a friend or love interest was everything.  Sure, now you can just email a collection of music, but what’s the fun in that?  Sharetapes allows you to bring that feeling back, without the lo-fi sound, or the poorly-made cassette we all used to revere.

The device looks like a tape, and is compatible with most smartphones.  All you do is create your own playlist from iTunes, Spotify, Soundcloud, YouTube, and a few other popular platforms, dump it onto the tape, give it a name like “Summer Jamz ’14” (must be written in Sharpie), and pass it along to your bro, or the lady that’s captured your eye.  The tapes come in a few different colors, and operate with a built in NFC chip, and QR Code compatibility.  Pick up a 5 for $7 here.
