Unbreakable Shoelaces Make Regular Shoelaces Seem Kinda Boring [Rhino Laces]

Rhino Laces came out of a successful Kickstarter project that was launched by an unknown number of wildland firefighters. The laces are purported to be unbreakable – and if the glowing testimonies on the website and Amazon are anything to go by… they just might live up to that promise. The unverified but potentially shoe-lace destroying events that respondents claim that they have survived include: a bear attack, a stint as a patch line for a truck’s emergency break, and an emergency replacement pull cord for an outboard motor.

If that sounds awesome, and you want a pair – then head over to Amazon (where they cost $20 a pair) or to the manufacturer’s site, where they cost a much more reasonable $12.50 (and ship globally). [via Oh Gizmo]
