Soba Cable Organizer, a Clever Way To Deal With the Rat’s Nest

Over the years your author has tried a few different methods of dealing with the dusty, tangled web of cables behind his monitors – with nil to limited success. The Soba cable organizing system from Bluelounge looks like a system that might actually work.

What does it involve? You slip your cables into the so-called “Vortex tube” and direct them where they need to go. Sticky-backed mounting clips direct the tube of cables wherever you need it to go and the (included) Y-split connector lets you direct things to different destinations (e.g. a second monitor).

The kit includes:

  • 10 feet of Vortex tube
  • 2 End Caps
  • 3 Mounting Caps
  • 1 Y-Split
  • 1 Vortex Zipper Tool
  • 5 Rubber Bands

I wonder how well it works with chunky monitor cables.
