A friend of mine once told me that his “mother’s husband” had an aversion to bathing like I would not believe. Mick, as the Englishman in question preferred to be called, would go for days in a row without bathing. At one point he racked up no less than fourteen in a row. I was shocked and intrigued and did not understand how an individual could be so unclean.
