I don’t much care for the name of this little digital dynamo, but I do like the features that it has been packed with. While MP3 playing alarm clocks are very much yesteryear fare, the Seven, which took out a Volvo design award, has a few tricks up its sleeve. It feeds you weather information, has a great looking display, oh and the kicker; it has an in-built motion sensor. Why do you need a motion sensor in an alarm clock? The sensor detects whether you are moving or not and will increase the volume to ensure that you wake up. There is also so mention of using it to answer calls. All-in-all, it is a very interesting take on the humble alarm clock.

Americans love lists and we love making them (even more to come next year). The video below explains why.

I am a light sleeper and I have thin walls, so I will not be investing in the Sonic Bomb alarm clock. It is loud, damn loud with a maximum decibel output of 113 db. That is not as loud as a jackhammer, but it is almost as loud as a car horn. Seriously, if you are exposed to it for over a minute and a half, you are potentially damaging your hearing. As if that was not annoying enough to get you out of bed, it also has a bed shake setting. If you are old, or have heart trouble, you might want to turn the volume down. If you have thin walls it would be a good idea too. Even the most tolerant of neighbors probably do not want more decibels than a helicopter can produce. This alarm clock easily makes the top ten most annoying alarm clocks.
Price: about $34

Since it looks like a good day to talk about original alarm clocks with cartoon characters as the theme, it is time for the Simpsons Jukebox.
As expected by the drunken family member of the Simpsons – Homer – he is holding a beer on the left hand and has the looks of someone who has been drinking for quite some time, but you should be used to it after watching the yellow-cartoons-comic-series for over 10 years.
On the more technical side of the product, consider it very alike to the Hello Kitty – it features the normal functions every radio alarm clock should have, by now you should know them, if not, check the product page.
Price: $36
