While there is quite an array of interesting clocks, both digital and analog, on the market, there really is only so much that you can do with the standard interface. Seiji’s LED block alarm clock offers an interesting alternative by connecting the different components of time using ribbon cables. This allows you to place your clock in different configurations and have a bit of fun with time.

Another annoying alarm clock that is almost certain to make the list if we do a part two of the Top 10 Most Annoying Alarm Clocks. The Puzzle Alarm Clock shoots out three simple puzzle pieces which you will need to retrieve and replace in order to make the alarm stop. This could be a problem depending upon the state of the room that the puzzle pieces are projected into. It better hope that the pieces are easier to find than my hammer.

The Laser Target Alarm Clock is a novel and some might say annoying solution to the problem of oversleeping. In order to stop the alarm, you must successfully shoot a target with a “laser gun”. Just make sure that you don’t lose the gun, because otherwise you may have to resort to more drastic measures for shutting the thing down. I don’t think I need my hand-eye coordination to be tested at the crack of dawn when I usually wake up.

There is nothing worse than waking up bleary eyed without your glasses and not being able to read the time. I sleep with my cellphone next to my bed; so nine times out of ten it is not an issue, but there are plenty of times that I misplace my cellphone and that I would absolutely kill for a clock that I can read without my glasses (even if I have to get up close to do so). The Lexon Jet Clocks look like they might do the job. They have a large readable face and display all of the vital information; though we could do without year, even if it is the year Zz.
Theo Williams has designed a mighty fine clock and we hope that it makes its way over to you in the States and over to me here in Japan before too much time has passed.
