Dunhill Bulldog USB Key, Because You Hate Your Bank Balance

While a little less offensive to me than a Blinged Mac Book Air, the Dunhill Bulldog USB key does strike me as incredibly stupid. I mean, why would anyone spend good money on an item that is otherwise reasonably inexpensive? If you want a cool-looking USB key, there are plenty of those around. This just smacks of extravagance of the worst kind. I mean please $350 for a 1GB drive.

Dunhill, keep your hands off my technology! Fashion designers have no place in gadgets, period; I don’t care if it is an Armani TV, a Prada cell phone or a Dunhill USB key.

Price: $350 [Dunhill via Everything USB, Oh Gizmo!]

Valentine’s Day Today, Carmania Set Chocolate V2 Tomorrow

Carmania Set Chocolate V2

I like Valentine’s Day, especially in Japan. You see, in Japan men are not expected to give any chocolates at all. Women give chocolates to men. We are inclined to reciprocate in March for White Day, but that is another story. What I love is actually the post Valentine’s Day chocolate glut. You can get some high quality chocolates for a fraction of the price that you would normally pay. This weekend I am going to try to rustle me up this Carmania Chocolate V2 set.

The set is made from high quality Belgian chocolate by Kobe chocolatier Frantz, and shaped liked tools to make them manly, they have nuts, bolts, wrenches and pliers, all beautifully crafted. I am a man, and I love chocolate, so the way I see it I win both ways. If I get them cheaper than the approximately $30 retail price then I really take home the chocolate trifecta.

Armani Opens Second Life Store

Giorgio Armani

Armani has set up shop in Second Life, allowing Second Lifers a chance to buy Armani clothing for their avatars.  Trading a stack of Linden dollars should have you looking as suave and sophisticated as a virtual George Clooney.  This all makes me long for the days when computer games had a point, whether it was rescuing Princess Toadstool / Peach or trading punches with the most dangerous man on earth.  I have always enjoyed kicking cyberdemon ass and do not mind the occasional frag session as Master Chief.  I get just about every computer game on earth, but not Second Life.

So, Armani have a store and IBM has a store and there are people that have turned virtual money into real millions, but to me the game looks more and more like real life; and more and more like work.

Rumor Alert: A New Red iPod?

Rumors are starting to surface of a potential new red iPod. The rumor is based on the fact that Bono and Bobby Shriver helped launch “Product RED” today from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Product Red is a partnership of different companies, AMEX, Armani, Gap and Converse, among others that will give cash to the Global Fund to Fight Aids, TB and Malaria. Now according to T3 and Forbes the possibility is good that Apple will join the charity with a red iPod. Since Bono and Apple already have a relationship going, it would not be a big surprise.

LG’s Fridge, Bling Bling

I think the designers at LG have been watching too much MTV’s “Pimp my Ride”. Honestly, did they get Puff Daddy(or is it P. Diddy) to consult on this on this Fridge? Here is what I can tell you about this fridge, model #R-U719GWN, a 3 door fridge by LG. It has diamonds embedded in the handle and the logo. The unit will be available in Taiwan on a limited run of 200 units only. So my Louis-Vuitton-luggage-carrying-Evian-drinking-Armani-wearing friends be sure to board your private jet when it comes out. Price and release date still pending.
