Twelve Acceptable Father’s Day Gifts For Geek Dads

fathers
It’s Father’s Day again and you are here because you have no idea what to get your old man (or the father of your children) for this special day that comes only once a year. The problem is further compounded if your old man happens to be a geek and who as a result probably does not care for sports memorabilia of any description.

You have been debating getting him yet another tie, but you suspect that he just won’t like it. Your suspicions are correct, he will hate it because most ties suck and will just remind him of the corporate grind that he is forced to suffer through five days a week or more.

Fortunately, your quest for a better Father’s Day gift has led you here. Our list of acceptable gifts has been compiled by two fathers, both of whom concur that any item on the list would make either of their days.

Moto Art has brought out another fine piece of aviation furniture, this time it is an office chair that has been built from the seat of a C-130. They have added a few nice touches to it as well, including “red racing upholstery” and an adjustable incline.

Price: On asking, which means that it is expensive. [MotoArt via Born Rich]

Why I’m Buying an X-Box 360

Indulge me in a little rant here folks, because I have just dug deep into the old bank account to shell out a chunk of change for something that I have not bought in a long, long, while – a console. I haven’t actually bought it yet, not because I am hesitant, simply because every X-Box 360 in Japan has been sold out for about a month. (more…)

Head Spa Massager

It seems that people will do anything to get rid of headaches and stress even if it means wearing something that looks like it came off the electric chair. The Head Spa Massager merges Italian design and Japanese engineering to give you the sensation of ‘ thousands of tiny fingers simultaneously massaging your scalp’ helping alleviate stress, tension and sooth migraines.

Use it at your desk at work. You can use it on your morning commute in traffic. Use it while relaxing at home in front of the TV after a long day. Its rechargeable battery makes it totally portable and easy to use anytime and anywhere. It’s like a Spa for your brain and your soul.

I would be a little concerned if I looked over at the car next to me and noticed someone wearing this, but I digress.
