Real 1800s Vampire Killing Kit Hits the Block, Nets a Small Fortune

This vampire killing kit, which hopefully was not used, was built in the 1800s and features all that one would need to do battle with preternatural forces of evil. It has a Bible, holy water, a cross, silver bullets, agun, candles, knives, garlic and last but not least, the all important wooden stakes. I am guessing that the garlic was replaced, but the rest of the stuff looks suitably old. It sold for $15,000. [Antiques and hearts via io9, GearFuse]

The Safe Bedside Table Helps You Get Medieval On Intruders

If you live in fear of people breaking and entering your home and you are made of sterner stuff than the guy who needs to sleep with a shotgun under the bed, then this is definitely for you. The safe bedside table breaks into a club and a shield – ready for you to put some serious hurt on whoever is invading your home.

Just hope that the said intruder does not have a gun, because I am not sure that the puny little wooden shield will stand up to bullets. [Bauldoff via Slippery Brick, Gear Fuse and Boing Boing Gadgets]

Lethal Looking Ice Cubes From Bullet Ice Cube Tray

It is perhaps unsurprising that an ice cube tray entitled, “The Bullet Ice Cube Tray” makes ice cubes shaped like bullets. What is surprising is how damned realistic these things look. I am assuming that the molded the real deal for authenticity and the icing on the cake is that the tray is shaped like an AK-47 magazine. Just a note, as these things are rather pointy, you might want to be careful to ensure that you don’t swallow one whole and do some actual damage to yourself.

Price: $13.25 [Find me a gift via Gear Fuse, Nerd Approved]

Corsair Beefs Up their Beefy USB Sticks

Corsair 32GB Flash Drives

I have never really jumped on the flash drive band wagon. I tend to lose little things and they invariably get washed. That was the fate of my last Buffalo Click Drive, which survived but was never the same. The Corsair Survivor, however, is up my alley and looks like the only flash drive that I would not accidentally destroy in the space of a few weeks. These things look like they could stop bullets, but don’t quote me on that or test my theory or you are sure to be disappointed. The Voyager looks pretty cool too, he interesting thing about these (which have been around for a while), is that Corsair has released a 32GB version of each. 32GB is enough to do some serious damage, that is enough space for a whole lot of software applications or an enormous pile of erotic entertainment.

Price: $120 for the Voyager, $150 for the Survivor

The Swiss Mini-Gun, Great Miniature, Lackluster Firearm

Swiss Mini Gun
The Swiss Mini-Gun is a working miniature gun. Not that it has much in the way of stopping power. The 2.34mm rimfire ammunition puts out a measly 0.97 joule of energy. That is significantly less than most BB guns or air rifles. But a tiny gun that actually shoots real tiny bullets is interesting, don’t you think? If nothing else this can be appreciated for the level of craftsmanship and precision that the Swiss usually reserve for their watches. It is interesting to look at, but I fail to see why anyone would want to own one.

There are two models offered by the company, a stainless steel version and a solid gold version. The stainless steel version will ship with a leather holster, 24 live and 24 blank cartridges and a cleaning set. The solid gold version can be customized according to your wishes. You can bling it up with diamonds or whatever you want. Like the stainless steel version, it ships with 24 live and 24 blank cartridges, but it also has a rocket launcher tube and 36 luminous rockets. It is all packed into a green tinted maple presentation box.
