I love a barbecue as much as the next man but the Talking Grill Thermometer smacks of overkill; which is sometimes a good thing. The greatest steaks that I ever ate were cooked by an engineer that was fanatical about his temperatures and timing. He experimented with cooking the perfect steak and he had it down to the second. So, sometimes it pays to be fanatical.
The Talking Grill Thermometer features include:
Digital LCD screen with remote wireless probe to identify temperature/readiness of meat
Sensor has temperature range from 32°F to 572°F
5 language options: English, Spanish, German, French and Danish
Programmable entree programs include beef, lamb, veal, hamburger, pork, turkey, chicken and fish
4 doneness selections include rare, medium rare, medium and well done
330′ transmission range
Stainless steel probe detaches from sensor for easy cleaning
Audio alarm sounds when selected temperature is reached
Price: $50

For any would be kitchen maestros out there, this could be the thing for you. The spice gun is a clever little idea that allows you to blast your food with spices. Simply put:
Spice gun is different from the other casters, it has more fun! When you pull the trigger to compress the air in the air bag the handspike will push the bottom of the seasoning bottle to make the nozzle in the turntable to retract and spray the seasoning.
I do a lot of cooking in my extended seasonal vacations and I can see this thing serving a purpose. Pack it full of seasonings for some barbecue fun. Blast your spices into the cavity of a chicken without getting your hands dirty. Load it up with dried herbs and fire them over a pizza (I like fresh herbs as much as the next man but they are just too damned expensive in winter here in Japan). I want one of these, if it ever makes its way from a concept to store shelves, I am buying one

Sure, there are plenty of people who do not want to eat pigs, but this rotisserie and grill will roast all kinds of big meat. The M-250B is a motorized rotisserie and charcoal grill, which can handle anything from a small roast to a whole 125 lb pig suitable for feeding up to 85 guests. If you plan on roasting a whole pig, Big John Grills recommend that you give your butcher plenty of warning. In addition you should have a meat thermometer, a “burn barrel for starting up your coals, and don’t forget the chicken wire, you will need it to tie your pig to the spit. Keep some pliers handy, you will need to tighten the wire as the meat shrinks. You will need an hour per 10 lbs of meat, but if you combine your rotisserie with their OV-5B oven attachment, you can reduce the time by 30% and in doing so, reduce your fuel costs.
Price: $1,775 for the rotisserie and grill, $550 for the oven attachment.

The most traditional ways of cooking food don’t integrate any gadget to actually check the cooking temperature, but since some people need help to prepare good meals there are always useful gadgets for the rescue.
The Talking Food Thermometer with Remote Handset does exactly what the name suggests, there is a thermometer to check the exact food temperature which is afterwards (wirelessly) transmitted to the handset and the “message” is played in audio mode.
On the thermometer itself there is a LCD screen with plenty of information and 8 options in terms of programs: beef, lamb, veal, hamburger, pork, turkey, chicken, and fish.
Once a program is selected, the handset verbally updates the cooking status, signaling “almost ready,” “ready,” and it has an “out of range” indicator.
