Chubby Brothers Hidden Chairs Dining Table Hides Those Ghastly Chairs

The Chubby Brothers Hidden Chairs dining table is a reasonably small dining table (a four seater) that manages to blend with its chairs to look like an enormous wooden box. Brian Lee designed the dining suite with the idea that it would, “allow the audience to gain a different perspective as an unrecognizable object when put together.” I don’t know about all that, but it does look pretty cool.

Apart from transforming into a giant wooden box, there are some more practical aspects to the piece as well. It can be broken into six parts for easy moving and the seats have leaf springs for comfort.

UberSaturday: U.S. Government and Department of Navy Buy H.R. Giger’s Harkonnen Chairs

Harkonnen Chair
H.R. Giger has decided to put himself in the furniture line and I must say, the results are impressive. There are two models with three variations, the standard Harkonnen chair, constructed from fiberglass and the Capo Harkonnen Capo Chairs which feature triple skulls, constructed from fiberglass or aluminum. Each chair is handmade and in most circumstances takes about two months to deliver. They certainly are exquisite. (more…)

Ace Bayou’s Game Chair Rocks, Literally

Ace Bayou X-Rocker

Ace Bayou has brought out a gaming chair that I think is pretty cool. I am sure it is not going to blow anyway with the sound quality. It only offers 4.1 channel, the speakers are removable. You can plug pretty much whatever you want into it to get your game or music on. There are two X-Rocker gaming chairs, the X-Rocker Pro-Series and the X-Rocker 4.1. The X-Rocker 4.1 should give you the better sound, but the X-Rocker Pro-Series is better if you have friends. You can bolt multiple chairs together and enjoy some multiplier action… not that I have any friends.

I have to say that they look quite plush. Having spent the last eight years of my life in Japan, I am pretty comfortable with sitting low to the floor. The perfect thing for my new gaming room! No word on price, but I am thinking this won’t be over the top.

Fully Loaded and For Sale

Fully Loaded Pic 1

Ah shotgun cartridges bring back memories. When I was a lad I used to wonder around my grandfathers almond orchard and collect the spent cartridges that he used to blow away the occasional galah from the flocks that came to feast on his crop. Perhaps that is why the double barreled shotgun was my favorite weapon in Doom 2; the game that landed me in trouble for cutting class on more than one Friday afternoon to go to my friend’s house for an extended multiplayer session. It was before the days of broadband, when a simple LAN card cost a small fortune. But that is not what this post is about. It is about a chair, a chair decorated with 450 12 Gauge shells, just like Grandpa used to shoot.

Looking at the chair, I cannot help but think that they could have done a little better. The brass apparently has a massaging effect as there is a bit of give in the way that they are secured. There are 30 of these for sale, as they are made by hand and feature so much brass, I would expect the price to be a little higher than most would be willing to pay. Still, it is a cool design and would make for an interesting piece of gaming room furniture should one’s budget allow it.
