The Lego Minifig LED lantern is a one of the more interesting Lego-flavored consumer products on the market. Perhaps the coolest feature is that giant minifig hangs from a swing, which functions as a handle. When turned on it provides 360-degree lighting from the four white LEDs that are set inside the minifig’s white shirt.

When I get to thinking about all of the cool stuff we were supposed to get after the year 2000 I can’t help but feel a little ripped off. Luckily the folks at Kix-files are trying to get things heading back in the right direction Back to the Future II direction with a specially modified pair of Nike Hypermax NFW Back to the Future 2015 Marty McFly. These have glow-in-the-dark elements and appear to have an LED or two thrown in for good measure.
