You can’t see a lot in this picture, but from what you can see, it looks like a new keyboard style; perhaps similar to that of the MBA. I doubt Apple will mess with success too much on this one, there will likely be one or two appearance tweaks to differentiate it from the previous model.

On the surface it sounds like a good idea - combine a cooler with a stereo, throw some wheels on it and you have a rolling party center right? The BoomCooler packs some punch, what with a 10” sub, dual 6”x9” speakers 600-Watt amp and CD player and all - it seems to fit the bill, until you read the disclaimer; not suitable for wet storage. Yes folks, they actually built a cooler that can’t hold ice.
The only way you are going to chill your beers in one of these is if you spend a bit of extra coin and buy some dry ice (they call it “dry” ice for a reason). Otherwise you are just going to have to throw your bottles or cans in fresh from the fridge and hope for the best. Your really would expect more from a $900 mashup such as this. It seems it will be a while before the LHC will be ready to convert the Swiss/French border into strange matter and suck all life as we know it into the oblivion of a homemade black hole. The cooling system that is responsible for keeping the LHC’s super-magnets from melting the planet has an electrical malfunction - Armageddon is down for repairs. [Physorg via Gizmodo, DVICE]

This has got to be, without a doubt, one of the coolest evaporative coolers that I have ever seen. It makes use of galvanized iron and sisal sack fabric and a water trough to keep camel milk cool.
How does it work? Find out after the jump. (more…)

Why aren’t air conditioners solar powered? The power requirements of air conditioners are astronomical so a single air conditioner would require a large surface area of panels to supply its power needs. The GreenCore 10200 gets around that by using a battery pack which is recharged throughout the day.
While the configuration that the GreenCore comes with will not provide enough power to completely run the air conditioner, it will put a dent in the power bill and it can be joined to other solar panels to supply its complete power needs. [Green Core Air via Treehugger, DVICE]
