Simulator fans are a strange lot. They don’t usually take to the simple joys of regular digital entertainment. Many of them like a level of realism that most normal folks find tedious, but they are out there and they are just as tech-obsessed as the rest of us, if not more. Today, we are going to take a look at eight of the coolest simulators on the planet. Don’t get me wrong, no way would I consider the $5000+ for a chair a sweet deal, but when you consider the fact that the 723 Flight Simulator Game Chair from HotSeats includes an entry level gaming PC, speakers and a 23-inch high definition LCD monitor, it does not sound that bad. Personally, I need a little bit more power than a 1.8GHz Core2Duo can provide, but for a lot of people it will deliver the goods. It looks comfortable and the 5.1 channel sound should make it a lot of fun. What’s more the control system looks like it would enhance the gaming experience for flight sims and racing games that much more than a regular joystick ever could.
The price is a tad high $5,635 from Game Chairs

His attention to detail is mind-blowing and perhaps a little bit frightening, but we certainly won’t hold that against him.
His $30,000 simulator looks to be a perfect recreation of a 747 cockpit. The detail goes down to every last switch and monitor. There are 90 switches and 9 different monitors to keep you busy when you are flying. If you get a chance to thunder your way down a runway at John’s house just remember the 747 simulator is a culmination of thousands of hours of work. It took eight years to put together and it shows.
