White Mountain Data Center Prime Location For Nefarious Acts of Super-villainy

Data centers do not tend to be the coolest of places, but for the White Mountain data center in Stockholm, we can definitely make an exception. For starters, it is built in a cold war nuclear bunker, with backup power provided by two diesel generators made for German submarines. The owner of the place jokes that if the bunker doesn’t survive a nuclear bomb blast he will give his customers their money back.

Beyond the necessary, there are plenty of cool features in the White Mountain center including a glass bridge and an indoor jungle that is going to get its very own rope bridge. There was a plan for a bat cave style elevator, but that didn’t work out (though I suspect that might change in the future). [New Launches]

Solar Electric Powered Car Kit a Two Weekend Job

SUNN Neighborhood Electric Vehicle
If you have a bit of time off coming up and are looking for a worthy project, how about building your own solar powered car? The SUNN Solar Electric Car Kit can be pieced together over the space of about 4 or 5 days. The kit will give you everything that you need except the batteries and solar panels which can be locally sourced to save you a bundle on shipping. Solar panels and batteries are heavy and thus expensive to ship.

The top speed of the SUNN is a very sober 25mph, which is fast enough in some locales. If you are using it sans solar panels and just charging it from an outlet, you should be able to manage 20 miles. That range is extended quite significantly if you go solar. A panel on the hood will give you an additional 3 miles on a sunny day and one on the roof will give you 14 miles. Add that all together and you have a 37-mile range which should get most people to and from work.

Whirlpool Glass Bathtub, That’s What I’m Talking About

Whirlpool Glass Bathtub

If you are a regular here, you will already know my thoughts on glass tubs, but this one looks a treat. Glass and stainless steel strike a bold contrast in this handsome therapeutic bathing device. It features a total of sixteen jets and will accommodate two people. Another feature of the Whirlpool Glass Bathtub that I really like is the chrome faucet and standalone shower. In Japan it is customary to shower before entering the bath and I have become quite accustomed to the practice. Now all I need is a splash proof TV and X360 and I will be in Tony Montana heaven.

Price: A painful but not bankrupting $3,199

Getting up in the morning is always a touchy subject. Come on clock, just an hour longer. This Lightning Alarm Clock wakes you up to the sound of crackling and buzzing electrical charges, with lightning bolting across a hand blown glass tube.

When the alarm sounds, the tube fills with electrical charges, producing a cool enough show to get you out of bed. The analog clock is powered with an AC adapter and measures 14 1/2 inches tall. Thomas Edison fully supports this product.
