Hoodies and Sweatshirts With Built-in Washable Earbuds

Gadget-clothing mashups are usually a vicious style crime, but this latest offering from Rusty might actually work. Their Wired Series of fleece sweatshirts and hoodies for men and women have built-in earbuds in place of regular drawstrings – and they are machine washable.

Coming in fall 2010. [Chip Chick]

Ecko’s Black Rhino Jason Hoodie

jason-1
From Ecko and conveniently released on a Friday the 13th (but not in time for Halloween), is an interesting Friday the 13th hoodie:

From the site:

Channel the terror of Crystal Lake in this “Jason” hoodie from the Friday the 13th series by Marc Ecko. Bloody full zip-up hoodie with breathing holes and mesh eyeholes for visibility. Four button flap pockets, flocking, leather straps and metal rivets, rib knit sleeve cuffs and hem.

I would recommend not zipping the hood up and wearing it on the street if the cops in your parts have itchy trigger fingers.

Price: $98 [Geekologie]

Star Wars Hoodies From Marc Ecko

ecko3
Streetwear purveyor Marc Ecko has decided to make a play for the geek dollar with a collection of Star Wars themed hoodies. His line up features Vader, Darth Maul, Clone Trooper and X-wing pilot. As you can see from the pictures, these are pulled off with varying levels of success. The Vader hoodie looks like something out of Pulp Fiction and something about the Darth Maul version just doesn’t look right.

The Clone Trooper and X-wing pilot, on the other hand, come together quite well. What a shame that they are significantly more expensive.

–Thanks Pashon

Prices: $98 (Vader and Maul) and $150 (Clone Trooper and X Wing Pilot) – Available for pre-order, shipping October 1. [Day & Night Blog]

Batman Costume Hoodie Should Only Come Out Once a Year (If at All)

My guess is that the Batman costume hoodie won’t be winning regular wearers too many friends. It features just a dash of Adam West era Batman coupled with a whole lot of super-nerd. Read about some of the features of the hoodie and judge for yourself:

This Batman Costume Hooded Sweatshirt is based on the original gray Caped Crusader Bat-suit. The outside of the hood features Batman’s ears. The inside of the hood features a “drop down” mask that can be worn or kept folded under the hood. The cape can be easily taken off with metal snaps.

This really should be a Halloween-only type affair, yet methinks that there will be some sorry souls out there that think it to be the pinnacle of cool.

Price: $50
