Toyota Makes a Segway Clone

News just in, Toyota has a new mode of personal transport and it looks familiar. The Toyota Winglet bears an uncanny resemblance to the Segway, but it is different enough to be considered unique. The Winglet comes in three models: S, M and L, but don’t be fooled, the S model is apparently the sporty model which allows for hands free operation (which you can see in the video after the jump). The L, as you can see in the picture, just looks like Segway’s less robust little brother. (more…)

Star Wars Clone Wars Watch, Not For Me, Maybe for You

While I don’t see myself running out to buy a Star Wars Clone Wars watch, I can foresee the possibility that a few of the more geeky Star Wars fan boys will be running out to do so. If you feel the need to decorate your wrist with Clone Wars merchandise, this “timepiece” may be the thing for you, though if you ask me, if it isn’t the original Star Wars movie, or Empire or Jedi, then it ain’t Star Wars; but the watch is 3D and does come with sound effects, so it is a tough call.

Lifesize Lego Star Wars Statues

Lego Star Wars Statues

There is not much to say here, the pictures speak for themselves. Everybody’s favorite metal coward, C3PO and a menacing looking Clone Trooper are sculpted from Lego; and don’t they just look delightful. Also included in the Crunch Gear shots of the Toy Fair is Indiana Jones, looking anything but a senior citizen and perhaps even youthful in his Lego form.

Lego Star Wars Watches Cool Enough to Embarrass

Lego Star Wars Watch 1

I have a confession to make guys, I am a closeted geek. I love my tech, I love to talk about my tech around tech folks and a few close friends. I have never denied my tech obsession, but at the same time I do not like to talk about it with strangers. I would never wear RAM jewelry. I only have one ubergeeky Astro Boy t-shirt and I never had a calculator watch in my life. I wear business shirts with stylish silk ties and I never put pens in my shirt pocket. I have glasses, but the frames are tastefully thin, not held together with tape or made out of black plastic. I am conflicted and the latest Star Wars Lego watches conflict me even more.

They are water resistant to 50 meters, which is as deep as I will ever dive. They feature Vader, R2 a Clone Trooper and Luke with a different color scheme for each. When stuff like this comes out, I know I want it. Each watch features a few extra links and a mini figure. I am dying to wear a Star Wars Lego watch, but then I figure I am too old and I let it go. They look pretty cool and all jokes aside, I would by one in a heartbeat if they had C3PO.

They are priced to move at $19.95 each.

Star Wars Death Star Home Theater

deathstartheater_5907.jpg

Producing a home theater you would only expect to see at a Star Wars fanboy convention, Vic Wertz and Lisa Stevens made this Death Star Home Theater System, that not only looks awesome, but produces spectacular sound as well. “That room looks really cool, but what”s amazing about it is that it sounds really good,” Ward says. “A lot of these concept rooms… they just don”t sound very good.”

To create an accurate depiction, Wertz and Stevens called on none other than Doug Chiang, the lead designer on the set of The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. After three different Star Wars themed designs, they decided to settle on a home theater that looks like a spot on the deck of the Death Star. The room includes a life-sized Han Solo, C3po, and Boba Fett models.
