Homemade Supercar Gets Awesome Performance… and Mileage

The Z59 is described as the product of some 800 hours of garage time spent over 15 months in a DIY labor of love. It makes use of an Acura k20a3 engine taken from a crashed RSX and incorporates many parts that were scrounged from old junk. Protective Layer for Baseball Cap

Protective Layer for Baseball Cap

The Protective Layer is exactly what it suggests, I consider it a “new” way to add some protection to your head while using a baseball cap. The suggestion made by the folks from SpyCatcher is that the item is suppose to be used by Golf Course personnel, but I don’t think there are many persons getting knocked over by a golf ball, or maybe there are?

Anyway, the layer is made of polypropylene and obviously it doesn’t replace a normal helmet that must be used when practicing extreme sports like skating or kayak.

Price: £5 (close to $10)

Kayak + Motor = Jet Kayak

Jet Kayak

As if doing kayak in the wild rivers isn’t already a good adventure full of excitement, imagine the scenario if you add an engine. The final result is a world speed record on the kayak category – 35mph – and the person responsible for this extreme act is Shaun Baker.

How does it work?

  • To control the speed there is a paddle-mounted finger throttle
  • And to take care of the steering there is a normal paddle blade

Check the official JetKayak page for more information.

They cut a hole in the back of the kayak, built a frame, and rigged the engine to turn a Yamaha jet ski’s pump and impeller, which draw in and expel water.
