Over the past week and a half, I have spent more than my fair share of time playing THQ’s Saints Row II. Let me tell you, at first I was resistant to this blatant GTA ripoff, however, I gve it its day in court and I am glad that I did. It was a fun game. The story is a little bit cartoonish, in that it is perhaps overly simplistic, but the missions are enjoyable and the makers have managed to create a decently difficult game without getting carried away and making it too tough. Rock Band Stage Kit May Be Taking the Whole Wannabe Rockstar Thing a Little Too Far
The Rockband Stage Kit is an X-box 360 compatible accessory that is supposed to add a little atmosphere to your gaming session with the inclusion of a smoke machine and a strobe light. Maybe I am missing something here, but this really does seem a little over the top.

Mad Catz Fender Precision Bass for Rock Band
Mad Catz have gone and done something interesting, they have made a bass guitar for Rock Band and a good looking one at that. It uses a split strum bar which will let you strum faster than with a standard strum bar and comes with a very reasonable price tag. Unfortunately, PS3 and Wii owners aren’t getting any love with this model; it is an X-360 only affair.
