The Pisa Tower shelving unit gets its name after the famous tower and borrows some of the aesthetics, but leaves the wonky design at the door. The unit is made up of nesting boxes that sit on top of each other when they are skewed. A bit of extra stability is provided by way of an elastic rope.
If you don’t need a shelf, it functions as a perfectly good side table. Pretty cool, especially if you are the sort that moves house a lot.

It’s Father’s Day again and you are here because you have no idea what to get your old man (or the father of your children) for this special day that comes only once a year. The problem is further compounded if your old man happens to be a geek and who as a result probably does not care for sports memorabilia of any description.
You have been debating getting him yet another tie, but you suspect that he just won’t like it. Your suspicions are correct, he will hate it because most ties suck and will just remind him of the corporate grind that he is forced to suffer through five days a week or more.

The Easyrider is a cool little design from German designer Nils Holger Moorman. It is a simple construction involving plywood, a couple of cushions and a single axle and tire (which presumably allows you to drag it around the house). The base of the chair features a bookshelf. It seems that Ruslan Kogan is serious about bringing the Kogan Agora to market. The original model was canned whilst under production on advice from Google that some of the specs, in particular the screen resolution were not up to scratch for the next version of the Google Android operating system.

I only say “working” because this does not work in the same sense that a traditional V8 works – from the controlled explosion of gasoline. This runs on batteries and is made out of Lego Technics, which doesn’t make it any less impressive. In fact it is right up there with the papercraft V12 we featured a while back. A work of Lego art.
Video after the jump.
