Ski Home Simulator From Pro Idee, Skiing Without the Cold or the Injuries

tb-skisimSimulators are a mixed bag, I figure that you have to really love a sport or activity to buy a single-use simulator. That being said, I do think that the Ski Home Simulator From Pro Idee is worth considering. It can vibrate, rotate and tilt and features 30 different courses around the world, all from the comfort of your warm, safe living room.

The catch, of course, is the price. This thing isn’t cheap, but it does mean that you can catch some presumably semi-realistic skiing action any time of year.

Price: $2300 [Pro Idee via Born Rich, Technabob]

A Helicopter Simulator that Costs Almost as Much as the Real Thing

FLYIT Professional Helicopter Simulator

I love a good simulator, but when you see the price tag on the FLYIT Professional Helicopter Simulator thing, you are definitely going to think twice. Not only is it expensive, you can probably pick up a second hand chopper for about the same price.

The FLYIT Professional Helicopter Simulator is all about the software, which admittedly does a lot. It will teach you all of the necessary flying skills and place you in all kinds of weather conditions. You can experience over 24,000 different airports, if you are so inclined. It is PC controlled, which means that you could probably set up something like this yourself if you have the right level of expertise and a big enough budget. The killer is likely to be the software. You can’t find simulator software like this floating around the BitTorrent ether.

The price: Ahem, $105,000 (thanks but no thanks)
