French designer/composer Jean-Michel Jarre has some pretty cool stuff in his portfolio and his AeroSystem iPod dock lives up to the standard. The tall tower system has a somewhat retro-futuristic design, by that I mean it looks like a retro view of the future; something that someone back in the 1980s might imagine everyone owning now. That is not a criticism by the way, the AeroSystem definitely has appeal.
Price: $580 - Unfortunately the AeroSystem is only available in France [Wired via Slippery Brick]

On the surface it sounds like a good idea - combine a cooler with a stereo, throw some wheels on it and you have a rolling party center right? The BoomCooler packs some punch, what with a 10” sub, dual 6”x9” speakers 600-Watt amp and CD player and all - it seems to fit the bill, until you read the disclaimer; not suitable for wet storage. Yes folks, they actually built a cooler that can’t hold ice.
The only way you are going to chill your beers in one of these is if you spend a bit of extra coin and buy some dry ice (they call it “dry” ice for a reason). Otherwise you are just going to have to throw your bottles or cans in fresh from the fridge and hope for the best. Your really would expect more from a $900 mashup such as this. Sony’s new RHT-G500 is more than the typical TV stand with integrated sound. Aside from the built in left, right and center speakers, and the sub woofer, there are also three HDMI inputs and one HDMI output. It also allows music streaming over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. All in all, a very tight package, but unfortunately it will only handle TV sets that are up to 40″ in size.

Kevin Van decided that he wanted to build himself an outdoor theater (he had already built one in his bedroom and another in his basement), however, he went a little further than the inflatable Walmart screen and he built much of it himself. He also added a sweet nostalgic twist to the whole project, of which many are certain to approve. He restored some vintage drive-in speakers and added concession stands to his theater space.
